In the Web2.0 environment, the Internet meme is innovative user generated content with their own thoughts, behavior and performance, and gain influence through social relations share in a short period of time, in order to explain the development of network culture. At present,there are a large number of foreign interdisciplinary research on the Internet memes, while due to the study of Internet memes in China started late, researchers are more focused on linguistics. Therefore, we study the characteristics of Internet memes from the perspective of communication, in order to provide a new crossover study for our country.The research content of this paper mainly includes four parts: First, the Internet memes for literature review. In this paper, 299 articles are collected from Google Academic,Springer, Elsevier, CNKI and other databases, and the results are summarized in the fields of computer science, communication, sociology, and so on. It also introduces the current situation of modeling and simulation of Internet memes, which lays the foundation for the study of epidemic spreading model of Internet memes. Second, the construction of epidemic spreading model of Internet memes. Based on the traditional SIR model, the innovator was constructed to construct the Internet Infection Model (SIInR), discussing the influence of disease free equilibrium point (DFE) and model parameters on propagation situation. Third,the mechanism of transmission variation of Internet memes. The Internet memes are modeled as a bit string,and a bit string model is added to the SIInR model to discuss the influence of the core fragment variation and the auxiliary fragment variation on the propagation tendency. Fourth, quantitative analysis and case simulation of Internet memes. 200 Internet memes which are collected from Baidu index are divided into six types,and then compared the difference between SIInR model and traditional Gauss,LogNormal, SIR models in fitting Internet memes. At last, the SIInR model is used to simulate the "Friendship Boat" and "Why don't you go to the sky", and discuss the validity and practicability of the model mutation mechanism.The innovation of this paper has two parts: First,according to the characteristics of highly replicative and rapid propagation of variability of the Internet memes, the SIInR model is constructed with user's innovation behavior. Secondly, we analyze the mechanism of variation of internet memes, modeling the Internet memes as bit strings, and discuss the influence of core fragments and auxiliary fragments variation on the trend of Internet memes.
