Design And Development Of Mobile Collaborative Learning System Based On Android System

In modern society, the roles that team works play are getting more and more important, so the abilities of cooperation should be developed. People hope to study whenever and wherever they like on mobile platforms, since mobile technology has changed the way of learning greatly. So, a cooperative learning app can achieve both goals, which include mobile learning and cooperative learning. The core problem is how to design an effective mobile platform based cooperative learning system. Based on this problem, the paper is trying to design and develop a mobile platform based cooperative learning system,through the analysis of cooperative activities on mobile platforms. The followings are specific works that the author did.Firstly, the author discusses the concept connotation of mobile collaborative learning and summarizes its characteristic advantages on the basis of combing the theory and practice of mobile cooperative learning both at home and abroad, using the method of literature research.Secondly, the author expounds the elements of mobile collaborative learning activities based on the analysis of the active constituent elements model supported by the theory of activity. Among the active constituent elements, all the equipments and resources are the mediation, which can make sure that teaches can communicate with students, divide the works and make rules.Thirdly, the author summed up the model of mobile cooperative learning, which includes preparation, implementation and evaluation, according to the model of cooperative learning. All the activities are carried on with the support of mobile equipments, The design and development of this system are based on this model.In the last, based on the demand analysis of the mobile cooperative learning system,combining the mobile collaborative learning model, the mobile collaborative learning system based on the android system is designed and realized. By means of the portability of the mobile device, the activity theory and the teaching design pattern combined to support students to participate in extracurricular scene of collaborative learning activities.The system has the functions of sharing resources together, group communication,discussion forum, learning progress management, multiple evaluation of learning achievement and so on. The characteristics of the system are to apply the cooperative learning model to the whole teaching process. The learners are studying under the guidance of certain teaching modes. Teachers can improve the learning activities through the learning progress and ensure the smooth progress of supporting learning activities. In addition, learners can share personalized learning resources, the learning process of self-organization and collaborative production of resources related to the system for everyone to learn. And eventually expands the source of resources. It can also improve the participation of learners. Through the interaction under social context, learners can learn in the problem scenarios, apply the knowledge to the community and cultivate their collaborative learning ability.
