Research And Realization Of TRILL Technology In Data Center Switch

Information technology has entered a new age which is called cloud computing.With the rapid development of cloud computing,data center based on cloud computing is having deep changes,and a new generation of data center comes out.Compared with the traditional data center,the new cloud data center can satisfy the various needs of applications of cloud computing,improve the rate of utilization of resource,reduce the cost of construction and operation of data center,and realize energy saving.One of the key technologies in cloud data center is virtualization technology.Dynamic expansion and “depend on need” distribution of the resource can be realized by integrating the calculation,storage and cyber source into a dynamic resource pool in virtualization technology,and it is the trend of data center.At first,this thesis introduces several major virtualization technologies,some private protocols of equipment manufacturers and standards proposed by IETF and IEEE.and then it compares their advantages and disadvantages from several aspects after briefly describing their working principle and networking mode.The TRILL protocol proposed by the IETF has important significance because it improves the defects of spanning tree protocol in topology convergence.The thesis divides TRILL protocol into two main parts: control plane and data plane,and goes into them deeply and separately.First of all,we discuss the process of neighbor establishment,database synchronization and routing calculation in control plane,and divide control plane into several modules according to its functions;Secondly,we discuss the data frame format of the data plane,computing result of control plane and the changes of packages in the process of forwarding;Finally,according to the thought of separating control plane with data plane in SDN,a new method is designed to calculate the route.It can realize routing centralized and save the time of database synchronization.The experimental results show that the TRILL switch has the basic routing functions.
