Design And Implementation Of Radar Signals Simulation Platform

As modern warfare is constantly changing,to get air superiority or not can determine the success or failure of a battle.Radar seems as the eyes of modem warfare and emerges in endlessly.However,the design,development and debugging of radar systems are complex and time-consuming.So in order to save the time and cost of the radar design and verification,the radar system simulation platform is widely used.The radar system simulation platform is applied into teaching,which can help the users understand not only the work process of radar intuitively but also the affect of radar parameters.It can help the users play radar performance better.Reflecting the process of the radar system more fully,the analysis and research is essential,which on the parameters affecting radar performance,the transmitted signals,the radar echo signals and the radar signal processing,then use the simulation graphics to describe the various components' work graphically.The topic analyzes the composition and function of the radar system,then builds several simulation platforms via using MATLAB software,and makes a beneficial attempt on the teaching of the radar system,including mainly the following five parts:1 Analyze the advantages and disadvantages of the radar simulation platform,introduce the composition of the radar simulation platform as well as the development of the radar simulation technology.2 Analyze the concept,constraints and effect of the radar system's parameters,design radar parameter simulation systems with GUI function which can show the parameters' effects on radar performance.3 The transmitte signals such as CW,PAM,LFM,PSK,PSK+LFM are analysise in the time domain and frequency domain,as well as the modeling method.Then design waveform simulation systems with GUI function.The systems can show the effect on radar wave by adjusting the waveform parameters in real time.4 Analyze the generation principle of the radar echo signals' components.The modeling method for target echo,clutter and noise are discussed.With the use of GUI,design radar echo simulation system that can show the effects of the parameters on the radar echo.5 Elaborate the fuctions and modeling method of the radar signal processing modules,focusing on the implementation process and performance of pulse compression and double pulse canceller,analyze the principles of target's states and the error analysis,then design radar signal processing simulation system using GUI function and display the process of radar echo signals in real time.
