As as an implicit incentive,perk is a universal phenomenon,and its existence is reasonable and necessary,for example a spacious office,car and gives some executives incentives,so that executives can improve work efficiency and prestige.As a recessive management incentive method,perks can undertake the daily business activities of enterprises appropriate lubrication tasks and play economic functions.Secondly,post consumption is different from the perk,it is just part of perk and perk refers to the excess management costs,because from the accounting perspective,most of the items are recorded in the "management fees" subject,excessive administrative expenses means the existence of perk.However,excessive consumption will increase the agency costs and damage to shareholders and other stakeholders,thereby affecting the performance and competitiveness of enterprises.In addition,perks are trivial and complicated and the existing accounting standards on behavior of perk are not specific norms,which leaves a large operating space,resulting in the fuzzy definition of perk,and making managers more power for himself to seek excessive hidden benefits rather than from the interests of the shareholders.From the point of view of the perks,less than half of the listed companies each year to disclose the perks,but there is no standard to follow the disclosure of the content,and the amount of disclosure are still relatively large different.Shareholders and other stakeholders have the right to know the specific circumstances on perks,because excessive consumption will bring high agent cost,damage the interests of shareholders,which affects the performance of enterprises.At present,most of the research about perk are focused on the internal governance mechanism and the legal level of the company.However,due to the imperfections of the existing laws and systems,the results are not very optimistic.Therefore,this paper tries to break through the original research perspective and abstract from the perspective of external governance mechanism,such as media supervision.First of all,this paper summarizes the domestic and foreign scholars based on previous research,combined with the theory of corporate governance,principal-agent theory,theory of media and government regulation theory,and concludes logic relationship among the network media supervision,perk and administrative institution intervention,and then establishes the theoretical framework of this three verbal,putting forward relevant hypothesis.Then,the data were selected from Listed Companies in Shanghai and Shenzhen,from 2011 to 2015 for the past 5 years.What's more,this paper carries on the descriptive statistical analysis based on the sample data,at the same time,the paper verifies the influence of the media supervision on the perk and the transmission mechanism of the administrative intervention in the supervisory function.This paper is divided into six parts: the first part is the introduction,mainly expounds the research background and significance of the topic,research content and research methods and innovations;the second part is the literature review,this paper attempts to summarize the relevant literature at home and abroad of perk and media supervision;the third part mainly analyzes the related theory and put forward the 5 assumptions of this article;the fourth part is the research design,including sample selection and data sources,variable design and model design;the fifth part is the empirical analysis,this part mainly includes the test of 5 hypotheses and sample descriptive statistics presented in this paper,and the main conclusions in this paper;the sixth part is to propose some policy and suggestions according to the empirical conclusions.Through empirical analysis,we find that the media can effectively supervise perk of the executives of listed companies excessive at that year,and at last year the media can also effectively supervise perk,but the supervision of the media when compared with the previous year to present year affect more on perk.In addition,when the media supervision has greater impact on state-owned enterprises than the private enterprises.At the same time,the empirical test of the role of the media in the supervision over the excessive consumption is achieved through the intervention of the administrative organs,and the state-owned enterprises are more affected by the administrative institutions than that of the non-state-owned enterprises.
