The Research And Design Of High Speed Image Storage Based On SATA Interface

With the wide application of high speed image sensor in aerospace measurement field,the frame rate and resolution of image sensor has been significantly improved,followed by a surge in the amount of data,which brings great challenge to the image storage.In order to store the mass data of high resolution and high frame rate image sensor,a high-speed image storage based on SATA interface is designed.First of all,according to the index of system and related technology puts forward the design scheme of the system.The system uses Spartan-6 series FPGA of Xilinx Company as the core processor,using Camera Link interface to collect high-speed image data of industrial camera,using DDR3 memory as cache,which solves the problem of transmitting the massive image data across the clock domain.Then combines with the internal GTP transceiver of FPGA realize the SATA controller,and stores the image data in the solid-state hard disk of SATA interface,which overcomes the disadvantages of traditional hige-speed storage,such as large colume,slow speed and poor anti-interference ability.And through the Gigabit Ethernet interface to upload the image data to PC to further analysis and processing.Then make the system hardware circuit design and software design,and introduce the FPGA implementation method of physical layer,link layer,transport layer and command layer in SATA protocol.Finally,based on the hardware platform,using Chipscope and IBERT online debugging tools in FPGA for SATA link signal quality and correctness of reading and writing tests,and using the test image of the industrial camera to do read back display test.The results show that the high speed image storage can accomplish the high speed transmission and storage of the output image of Camera link interface.The speed of Storage can reach 160MB/s.And the storage has a certain practical value and application prospect.
