With the development of industrial automation,on the one hand people have pay more and more attention to the productivity,on the other hand people have attached more importance to the safety of the production system.Functional safety of safety system has become a new development of monitoring technology.Functional safety certification can improve the security of the system greatly.Online Gas Analyzer is widely used in the complex industrial environment,it is important to study the functional safety of the system.It is a complicated process to design an Online Gas Analyzer system which meets the functional safety standard.Firstly,This paper intruduced background of the subject and expounded the significance of the research.Then study the design and verification of embedded software of Online Gas Analyzer based on the functional safety standard of IEC61508 and the development methods of Online Gas Analyzer system.The main work of this paper can be summarized as follows:(1)Proposed the embedded software functional requirement of Online Gas Analyzer,determined the methods of the Safe Integrity Level of the target Online Gas Analyzer based on IEC61508.Confirmed the technologies/measures that software structure design stage and the system security verification stage used in the corresponding SIL based on IEC61508 functional safety standard.These technologies/measures were used as the guidance basis for the design and the evaluation basis for the safety confirmation.(2)Designed the embedded software for Online Gas Analyzer based on the relevant technologies/measures which Safe Integrity Level recommend and analysised of the effectiveness of these technologies/measures.Applied these technologies/measures in the software development process,the fault diagnosis function design and the application of error detection code in software design are introduced.(3)Verfied the basic function of the Online Gas Analyzer and the property of the system.Analysised the effectiveness of the technologies/measures which adopted in the software development.Used Fault insertion experiment to create some failture and error code which can verify the effectiveness of diagnosis design.(4)Evaluated the functional safety of the Online Gas Analyzer.Get the SFF of the system based on the hardware diagnosis data provided by hardware engineers.Established the Markov model to calculate the PFDavgs and evaluate the system whether meets the requirements of IEC61508 standrd SIL2 for the functional safety of instrument,verifed the function of the system.
