ViBe Algorithm Research And Application In The Smart Home

With the improvement of peoples' living standard and the rapid development of computer technology,especially the revolution of Internet technology,machine vision,electronic communications,automatic control and other technology,the development of information and network are affecting peoples' lives quietly,a new generation of household equipment such as intelligent home control systems,intelligent monitoring and security systems arises at the same time.However,there are also many defects found in such equipments after doing research on smart home products deeply.For the monotonous function,independent operation and unintelligence,the thesis put forward a kind of intelligent household monitoring system solution and developed the Android application which can detect moving target autonomously by analyzing the principle of moving target detection algorithm Vi Be.For more complete function,the thesis also developed the program which can interact with intelligent entrance guard,the server program,camera dynamic control program,and realized such functions as remote unlock,suspicious target monitoring and warning,intelligent control by cloud server.This design has intensified the intelligent monitoring and intelligent entrance guard,it can enhance the home security level.The work can be divided into four parts:the first part is video capture and transfer.In this part,the embedded hardware based on Cortex-A9 has been designed for running the open source video processing software mjpg-streamer to realize video capturing,image compressing and wireless transmission.The second part introduces popular image processing technologies,including image noise reduction,image enhance and filtering for corresponding images.Then the Vi Be algorithm has been explained by comparing with other common moving target detection algorithms,the principle has been analyzed and the performance has been evaluated.The result shows that Vi Be algorithm is suitable for home safeguard device with advantage.At last,Vi Be algorithm has been realized based on Open CV for Android platform,the video receiving and processing module for Android,program which can interact with intelligent entrance guard,smart home server program,camera CGI control program have been completed.The test result shows that the design can make monitor more intelligent and achieve expected purpose.
