The Design And Research Of Video Quality Assessment System Based On IPTV

As the traditional telecom network,the Internet and cable television networks of these three different types of business penetration and integration constantly promoted by the country,IPTV(Internet Protocol Television)as the representative of triple play services grows rapidly.With the continuous development of IPTV technologies and industrial chain,IPTV services can achieve good visual effects(compared to digital TV).It ensures good QOE(Quality of Experience)is still the key to the success of IPTV business development and promotion.However,with network users and applications are constantly emerging,the network burden is increasing,network performance declines,which affects the user experience effect.Operators lack effective means of monitoring.Therefore,they face many difficulties such as service quality monitoring,fault location and terminal management.This thesis is to design a set of video quality assessment system fully and truly reflect the IPTV service quality of service.The quality of IPTV service video is evaluated in real time by QOE objective evaluation method,and the visual quality of the IPTV service is displayed in the interface.When the user fails to play the video,the system can quickly locate the fault based on user information and analyze the cause of the fault.In addition,it supports the management of the STB(set-top box)and the STB with real-time interaction,saving a lot of O&M(operation and management)costs.The system includes video quality assessment function,video quality fault location function and terminal management function.The test results show that the system is capable of monitoring and evaluating the unicast channel quality in real time,and can locate the fault for the poor quality video playback record and give the conclusion of delimitation to manage STB terminal effectively.This thesis introduced the related concepts of IPTV video quality and the main technology involved in this system,including MOS(Mean Opinion Score),MDI(Media Delivery Index)and TR069 protocol,etc.Next it analyzed the system requirements and studied the video quality evaluation algorithm MOS-V(Mean Opinion Score to Video),fault location algorithm and terminal management security authentication mechanism involved in the system.Then the overall architecture,the main modules and the business functions of the system are designed,and the system software implementation process is described.Finally,the testcase are designed and the test results of the system platform are given.
