Processor computing power is growing,a variety of embedded computing platform is coming one after another.Real-time communication protocols between the different platforms become diverse,such as RocketIO,PCIe and Fibre Channel(FC)and so on.In order to promote the high-speed interconnection between different system platforms,it is of great significance and practical value to study real-time data reassembly and multi-protocol transmission technology.The main purpose of this paper is to design PCIe,RocketIO,FC three kinds of communication protocol embedded system,realize the function of real-time recombination and transmission between PCIe and RocketIO,PCIe and FC protocol.Based on the deep research of FC,PCIe and RocketIO,this paper proposes the data format and conversion mechanism for these three protocols.In addition,this paper also designed a custom control information packet,to achieve the PCIe to FC,PCIe to RocketIO dynamic reconfiguration and transmission protocol dynamic switching.Then,this paper designs the data packet according to the address differentiating receiving module,DDR memory control module,data flow control and data packet module on the high-performance hardware FPGA platform,completes the packet reassembly function between the protocols,established PCIe protocol and RocketIO protocol,FC protocol and PCIe protocol conversion path,and supports FC network login authentication and network management functions.At last,the function and performance of the real-time data packet recombination and transmission system are verified by simulation and measurement.The simulation and test results show that:PCIe data packet can be reassembled in real time and sent out through the RocketIO protocol.The transmission rate of RocketIO to FC is 240MB/s.Converts PCIe packets to FC frames for transmission,the transmission bandwidth is up to 382.34MB/s.The conversion of PCIe to FC and PCIe to RocketIO can be dynamically changed under control of the custom control information.
