With the advance of society,the network technology develops rapidly.Connecting the core network and users,the access network is the important part of the whole network,and its relevant access technologies are increasing more and more.In these access network technologies,Fiber-Wireless Broadband Access Network(FiWi)is one of the most promising Broadband Access Network technologies.It combines the high bandwidth,high stability of Ethernet Passive Optical Network(EPON)and the advantages of low cost,flexibility of Wireless Mesh Networks(WMN).Because FiWi network carries a large amount of data,the failure of network will cause the social and economic losses,incalculably.Therefore,the survivability research of FiWi network is very necessary.And how to improve the survivability of FiWi network more flexibly has get more and more attention of the industry delegates.In order to realize a better survivability of the heterogeneous FiWi Network,more and more researchers began to focous on the emerging Software Defined Network(SDN).Software defined network abstracts the control plane from the underlying infrastructure to a unified control plane,then the underlying infrastructure only need to put forward the data directly according to the instructions from the control plane.As a result,people can realize the control of the entire FiWi network through software programming,containing the unified configuration and the centralized management of the whole network resources.Thereby,it can make better integration both of EPON and WMN,and provide a better platform for the research of network survivability.And as a typical SDN technology,OpenFlow technology has been widely used.In this paper,we introduce the OpenFlow technology into FiWi network,and use OpenFlow controller to realize the centralized control of FiWi network.In the new network architecture,we realize fault detection first,and propose an improved Quality of Service(QoS)strategy to realize the fast recovery of the damaged data.On this basis,combining with the sleep technology of FiWi network,this paper proposes a dynamic network mechanism for energy saving.It can not only promote the efficiency of energy saving,but also guarantee the network survivability.The main research work is as follows:(1)First,we comb existing survivability technology of FiWi network,and analyze the energy saving and QoS research of FiWi network.At the same time,we introducethe development of SDN technology in detail.Then,we make a further research for the research background and research significance of this paper,and discuss the necessity of survivability research in FiWi network.(2)we introduce the SDN technology into FiWi network,and build a new network architecture which supports the network survivability research.In the new network architecture,we implement the centralized and unified control of the FiWi network by the controller.And we research how to realize the fault detection mechanism.(3)To satisfy the transmission demand for multiple level business,we extend the control plane of OpenFlow,adding the corresponding function module for QoS.And we put forward the improved QoS bandwidth allocation strategy to reduce the recovered delay of the data affected by the fault,especially the high level data,further improve the survivability of the network.(4)In the new network architecture,combining with OpenFlow,we make the deployment of the energy saving module for FiWi network.This way reduces the complexity of information interaction between each node in FiWi network.And on this basis,we propose a dynamic networks dormancy energy-saving mechanism,and establish a dynamic network management table.Though inquiring the table,the controller can avoid failure nodes,and quickly chooses the available network nodes.Thus,FiWi network can implement security network survivability,at the same time,improve the network energy efficiency,effectively.Finally,the simulation verifies the effectiveness of the scheme in this paper.
