As the increase of governmental investment to laboratory construction, the number oflaboratory and laboratory equipment is growing, and the price of experimental equipment isbecoming more and more high, so it is becoming more and more urgent to realize thescientific, standardized and informationalized management of laboratory in universities. Thispaper have designed and developed a set of laboratory equipment running managementsystem in combination with current laboratory management system, and realized the real-timeremote acquisition and management of the current running state of laboratory equipment.Based on the theory of Internet of things, this paper designed and developed thelaboratory equipment running management system, combining with database technology andcomputer hardware and software technology. This paper put forward a design with threelayers of the system module, the system was divided into perception layer, transport layer andapplication layer, the sensing layer was used to obtain the experimental data, the transportlayer was used for the transmission of the experimental data, and the application layer wasused to complete the management of experimental data.With the single-chip processor as the control chip, this system used current transformerto acquire the current value of lab equipment in the perception layer module, determined thecurrent operation state of the equipment through comparing with threshold, and formed thedata of laboratory equipment running status with current running time; Transport layermodule used ZigBee,485bus and GSM message transmission method to send the data oflaboratory equipment running status to the staff’s cell phone and client software, and editedan reliable communication protocol to ensure the accuracy of data transmission; Applicationlayer module programmed a software of lab equipment running management system withC++language, it connected the MySQL database with ADO technology, realized thescientific management to the data of laboratory equipment running status for staff; At thesame time, the application layer module designed the server program in order to realize thepermanent preservation and network access to the laboratory equipment running status data.Through on-line testing, this system ran normally, finished the designed functions, andhad high practical value.
