The technology of the internet of underwater things have gained more advanced and widely used,smart things are deployed under the water and establish the underwater wireless sensor networks(UWSNs),to promote the discovery of vast unexplored ocean volume.Underwater WSNs are used to the building of Smart Ocean,for supporting the application including oceanographic data collection,pollution monitoring,offshore exploration,disaster prevention and assisted navigation,and so on.When sensory data of sensor nodes deviate from a normal sensing range,the event may occur.Accurate event region should be detected when event happened,and event source should be determinate for the establishment of prompt and proper scheme.For this problem,this thesis proposes the mechanism of the event courage detection and event source determination in UWSNs.Specifically,1)The routing tree construction and maintenance to establish and hold theparent-child relation between neighboring sensor nodes with different hopcount,respectively.Through the construction and maintenance of routingtree,sub-region query processing mechanism is proposed.2)Based on routing tree and sub-region query processing mechanism,consid-ering the energy efficiency of data transmission and network connectivity,relay node selection and data gathered algorithm are proposed,for the database of the event courage detection and event source determination.Therelay node selection mechanism is proposed through considery the numberof abnormal neighboring nodes and hop count.3)Weighted graph construction through aggregation of data collection andcommunication radius of sensor nodes,where the vertices correspond tosensor nodes,the vertex weight reflects the extent of sensory data deviatingfrom a normal sensing range and the weight specified upon the edges isaverage of two vertices weight.Event coverage detection and event sourcedetermination are achieved upon the weight graph.Finally,extensive simulations have been conducted to evaluate the effectiveness and efficiency of the event coverage detection and event source determination mechanisms.The results show that the mechanisms can decrease the energy consumption for communication significantly and prolong the network lifetime.
