Study On The Database Key Technology Of Denture CAD/CAM System

On the basis of ideal dental database,the author has studied on data storage,model processing technology associated with the establishment of various dentoforms database.Firstly,the article analyzes the development of the dental CAD/CAM system,its database,as well as the tooth model processing technology at home and abroad.Secondly,based on the dentoform features,the article has discussed different means of dentoform classifcation in accordance with facial types,ages and genders,and concluded various dentoform characteristics.In the article,from several aspects as database requirements analysis,database structure design,the estalishment of logical structure of database,etc,it has illustrated the database establishing procedure in which various dentoforms,tooth dimension data has been classified for storage.There is also a brief introduction of the database manager of man-computer interface.Based on the study of ideal dental database,the article presents the identification of features in tooth occlusal surface and axial surface.It also concludes the model establishing approaches for different dentoform with different facial types by analyzing the relationships between the dimention data of the first molar tooth of the Malay type and the ideal tooth data.Thus,tooth models with various features can be established.Finally,the article makes the conclusion,and proposes the expectation for the future.
