The current market economy mode in China requires the production of book products to follow relevant laws of economics.Editors or other publishing practitioners alike,they should predict and evaluate the benefits of books while planning and producing book products,so as to ensure the social benefits of book products and achieve more economic benefits,which will secure a sustainable development for the producers and market of book products.Therefore,the study of book product benefit model on the basis of data analysis is a research topic with both theoretical value and practical significance.The size and value of book publishing industry have been increasing on a yearly basis as the national economy achieves a steady growth.The publishing researchers have been studying the cultural values and social benefits of book products,the focus is also on the impact of these book products on the national economy and their economic benefits for publishers.Therefore,scholars and publishing practitioners have conducted wider discussion and research on the profits,costs,prices and sales strategies of book products.Nevertheless,most editors and publishing practitioners solely rely on experiences for decision-making,and very rarely will they bear in mind the economic benefits of book products to producers while conducting microanalysis and making decisions in accordance with analysis results.As a result,the decision tree analysis of operational research should be adopted at the crucial development period of China's cultural industry in order that the western microeconomic theory can be employed to analyze and construct the economic benefit model of book products.This will promote the comprehensive thinking of actual editing and provide a reference to the robust development of China's book publishing industry.Guided by the theory of supply and demand in western economics,this paper uses data collection and analysis software as tools with theoretical exploration and case analysis as research methods for a systematic study on the benefit model of book products.This paper is divided into five parts.The first chapter is an introduction,in which the research background and significance of the benefit model of book products are elaborated,including the contents,approaches,and innovations of research.The second chapter summarizes relevant theories involved in the benefit model of book products,including data analysis,decision tree analysis and product life cycle,the application of each theory in this paper is also discusses.The third chapter analyzes the research context brought by literature research to the benefit model of book products,hence providing a viable classification method and constructing a basic framework for such model.The fourth chapter,the forecast models for cost,price and sales of book products are included in the benefit model of book products,accompanied by a feasible forecast approach for each separate module.Based on the forecast for each module in the fourth chapter and by referring to the collected historical data,the decision tree analysis is adopted in the fifth chapter to construct the benefit model of book products and verify its practicality in accordance with actual work experiences.The innovative nature of this study is highlighted in two aspects.First,it's about the innovative research content.This paper conducts a systematic study on the construction of the benefit model of book products,which represents a meaningful exploration for the research system of book product benefits from the perspective of publishing economics.By analyzing forecast models for cost,price,and sales of book products and referring to the data collected by the author,a feasible forecasting scheme is proposed.Second,it's about the innovative research method.Octopus,the smart web page data collection software,is adopted to collect book data of multiple data platforms.In addition,the author uses Excel as data analysis software,and its data processing function is employed for organizing the collected data.Furthermore,the data analysis is done through a lot of mathematical analysis tools such as correlation coefficient,regression,and histograms before constructing the benefit model of book products.Meanwhile,based on the actual work experiences and the understanding of the production of book products,the author discusses the feasibility of the benefit mode through simulation cases.This study is not only a discussion for the decision scheme of practical work in book publishing,it also represents a meaningful exploration for the publishing economics,which will provide reference value and practical significance to the publishing practitioners' efforts in making and optimizing publishing plans.
