The Radio Frequency Identification(RFID)technology is increasingly applied into many fields.In some application,new requirements are put forward for the type and function of the RFID tags,such as integrated design of RFID tags into metallic objects,and the ability to sense the environment,such as temperature.In this application,slot antenna has good potential to be the RFID tag antenna.The main work is about the research on the slot antenna applied into RFIID tag design.The main work can be summarized as follows:1.A multiple-fold slot antenna was used to design RFID tag antenna which can be integrated into the metallic objects.With the optimization of the slot structure of different fold number,we successfully design the multiple-fold slot antenna in the 408 mm2 design area of aluminum blister package.Then the one-flod RFID tag antenna is fabricated,which is tested afterwards.2.The research on the design of RFID tag with multiple-fold slot antenna and tag performance evaluation under fabrication error.We take hot press fabrication of medicine blister as an example,after the definition of the parameter of stability of antenna,which is Normalized Root Mean Square Error,we use the Latin hypercube sampling and Monte Carlo sampling to simulate the model in which the RFID tag antenna is influenced by the fabrication error.Then we give the Expected Performance of the RFID tag antenna under the fabrication error,and design the RFID tag with multiple-fold slot antenna under hot press fabrication.Afterwards,the RFID tags are fabricated and tested,and the effectiveness of Latin hypercube sampling is better than that of Monte Carlo sampling.3.Research on semi-active RFID sensor tags.For the high capacitive reactance of RFID chip with temperature sensor,the half slot antenna was put forward to be the RFID tag antenna.For the benefit of the high inductive reactance of the half slot antenna,the conjugate matching between RFID antenna and RFID chip is profitable.After optimization of slot antenna structure,we successfully design the RFID sensor tag with temperature sensor and with a small size.The test result shows the performance of half slot antenna is comparable to that of dipole like antenna.
