Compared with traditional mechanical scanning radar,the beam of phased array radar can be switched instantaneously.In order to make best use of the radar system and save the system resources,it is necessary to rationally allocate the radar working parameters by adaptive target tracking algorithms and dwell scheduling algorithms.Based on the research of adaptive target tracking and dwell scheduling for phased array radar,the related theories will be applied to the new system radar with MIMO mode.Firstly,three basic target tracking algorithms are introduced,including the Kalman filtering,Singer filtering and Interacting Multiple Model(IMM)filtering.The Kalman filtering is applicable to non-maneuvering target tracking,Singer filtering and IMM filtering is suitable for maneuvering target tracking.Simulation shows the tracking error of Singer filtering is stable,and Singer filtering can be applied to track the target with low mobility.IMM filtering is suitable for the target with strong maneuverability,and it has higher tracking accuracy.Secondly,aming at the adaptive target tracking of phased array radar,three adaptive sampling period algorithms based on IMM filtering are introduced.In order to improve the speed of the selection of the maneuvering target's sampling period,a fast adaptive sampling period algorithm for phased array radar based on the estimation of target's maneuvering parameters is presented.On this basis,an adaptive target tracking algorithm based on the joint control of sampling period and transmitted waveform is proposed.These two algorithms both can reduce the calculating resource consumption effectively.Then,aming at the adaptive target tracking for phased array radar with MIMO mode,two adaptive tracking algorithms in MIMO mode are proposed.The MIMO multiple targets adaptive tracking algorithm based on the fixed analysis time will determine the analysis time at a regular interval.While,the algorithm based on the variable analysis time will determine the analysis time according to movement characteristic of the target.These two algorithms both establish optimize model and solve to obtain optimum working parameters of radar system at each sampling time.Simulation result indicates that compared with the phased array radar,the adaptive tracking algorithms in MIMO mode can reduce the radar resource consumption effectively and improve the utilization efficiency of radar time resources.Finally,the adaptive dwell scheduling algorithms of phased array radar and its MIMO mode are presented separately,in which the target threat model and the pulse interleaving technique are taken into account.Simulation demonstrates that it can increase the threat ratio of execution effectively through adding the target threat to dwell scheduling algorithms.
