As Scopus,Web of Science and Google Scholar using their citation indicators for evaluation, the results are often different, three single-source database all have limits in informetric researches and applications.Using any database alone for journals, academic evaluation may lead to information lost.In order to reduce the assessment error of journal influence in the specific disciplines,a more comprehensive idea is to combine the three database data,Composite citation analysis method, which utilizes multi-source data, can provide a supplemental method.Based on the journal's citations in 2009-2014 and the cases of international Cell Biology,Plant Science,Library and Information Science,Management,Linguistics and Philosophy journals, this paper attempts to compare the index of single-source data,The results show that the citaton data of the three single-source databases is different, and almostly satisfy GS>Scopus>WoS.The higher ranking of the journals in each database, the greater citation gap in each database. When choosing the composite index, the arithmetic mean is taken as the basic compound method, the geometric mean and harmonic mean as a supplement The results of the mean measure show that the composite index can reflect the position of the journal in the discipline accurately on the whole. The final results obtained by the mean compound method is the most close to Scopus, and the numerical result is satisfied GS>CA?CM>Scopus>WoS.The difference between multi-source composite data and the single database citation results emerge the phenomenon of "balance in ends, difference in mid".The cumulative arithmetic mean, cumulative geometric mean and harmonic mean do not follow Brad Ford's law,but with the same number of journals in three sub-zone,the cumulative value satisfies the model of 'n2:n:1'.Though arithmetic mean is different from geometric mean or harmonic mean, there is a strong correlation between them,we can choose one when in application. In the other compound methods, the paper also explores the largest set of citations from mu,as a supplement to the compound method in the paper level. Both theoretical and empirical results show that the composite analysis of WoS,Scopus and GS can be used to balanced the differences of three database, and obtain a relatively comprehensive,Fair j ournal evaluation parameters, and thus more comprehensive reflect the citation data.In the actual evaluation application,if the extreme value of the data is less, the arithmetic mean, geometric mean and the harmonic mean can be used interchangeably,if the citation data in the three databases in the larger difference, then the geometric mean and harmonic mean is better than the arithmetic mean. This paper also puts forward four policy suggestions on the evaluation of journals, the differences of disciplines, the evaluation and evaluation methods of scientific research personnel in the evaluation of scientific research and the problems and the present situation of current research evaluation in China.
