With the rapid development of Chinese economy,the living standards of citizens have been greatly improved.But the economy development also accompanied with environment problems that badly affect the quality of people's daily life.As a result,protecting environment has become an urgent issue for China.However,the traditional mode of environmental management is unable to meet the requirement of modern society,which makes building an intelligent environmental information system become the key to solve the environment problems.Starting from the construction of environmental information system,this thesis points out the domestic and international statues of information construction in environmental management,and demonstrates the meaning of constructing an environmental information system.Furthermore,this thesis also provide an introduction on the theoretic system of information technology used in building up an information system,and proposed a solution based on B/S architecture.After analyzing the requirements of the system,this thesis demonstrated the procedure of designing and constructing an information system.Comparing with a traditional environmental information system,this system has following improvements:1.In order to provide a uniform interface to the data source,this thesis uses Jersey framework to implement the middle tier,making the program's operation,such as querying and updating are completed through accessing to the corresponding URI;2.This thesis has not only achieved the traditional ways of exhibiting information,such as tables and charts,also found a way to visualize the environmental information based on GIS;3.This system allows users to upload customized multimedia information,such as images,audios and videos and these information can be displayed in the relevant functional unit.This study of the system can be applied to the project of early warning platform in village's environment.It is not only more standardized and convenient for employees to manage the environmental information system,but also provide variety ways for obtaining the visualized data,which is a reliable reference for relevant policy makers.
