With the wide application of intelligent terminals and the growing demand for mobile data services,the wireless data traffic was increased a thousand fold,the system energy consumption was increasing.In order to fundamentally solve the problem of low spectrum and power utilization in existing mobile communication system,truly achieve the dual goals of green communications and higher spectral efficiency,we need to speed up the 5G(5th Generation mobile communication technology)research.with its many advantages,The massive multiple input and multiple output(Massive MIMO)technology has become one of the hottest direction in the study of the future 5G standard.When the number of antennas at the base station side is much larger than it at the UE side,the channel between the base station and each user will tend to be orthogonal,Massive MIMO system equipped at the base station can obtain a huge array gain and interference suppression gain,greatly improve the spectral efficiency and power efficiency,truly achieve mass of green data wireless transmission.Accurate access to the characteristics of the wireless channel is the basic condition of mobile communication,as it can provide important theoretical guidance and technical support for the construction of channel model,wireless communication standard formulation and system prototype implementation.In order to obtain the channel characteristics of Massive MIMO system equipped at the base station side,the most effective way is to carry out measurements on the objective physical channel.In view of the high price of current standard commercial channel sounding equipment,this paper proposed complete hardware and software design plan that can be used for Massive MIMO system channel sounding.This paper mainly studies the design and development process of the control software based on Massive MIMO channel sounding and proves that the designed control software can realize the measurement requirements under different environment through the laboratory verification test.For different channel environment and measurement requirements,this paper developed the control software based on Massive MIMO static channel sounding and time-varying channel sounding control software.Both channel sounding control software was developed by Microsoft Visual Studio 2010 Using MFC(Microsoft Foundation Class)dialog box resources as the basic framework on a Windows operating system.The innovation ideas of developed channel sounding control software are:(1)The design principle of virtual antenna array in Massive MIMO static channel measurement system is introduced,and then the development method of static channel sounding control software based on virtual continuous storage multi-antenna channel data acquisition scheme is proposed.Considering the existing problem of developed measurement plan,the improvement scheme and the implementation method of related control software are put forward,which can provide the direction for the follow-up work.(2)The time-varying channel sounding platform is introduced.According to the Nyquist sampling theorem,if the update frequency of channel impulse response(CIR)is twice as fast as the channel change speed,the receiver can completely recover characteristic of the time-varying channel.Based on this principle,this paper presents a method of developing time-varying channel sounding control software based on equidistant data storage scheme.(3)As the data acquisition card supports dual-channel data acquisition,time-varying channel sounding control software designs dual channel data acquisition storage function that Can realize 1×2 MIMO time-varying channel sounding.In this paper,the two channel sounding control software we put forward can achieve hardware device control and data acquisition and storage.All of them have certain innovation and reference value for channel measurement in this research field.
