With the rapid development of computer technology,people continue to improve their standard of living,thus demand for residential environment are rapidly increasingly,and a smart home will become the mainstream of people's life.After investigation and analysis,the current smart home products on the market there are two main problems.The first one is the lack of uniform industry standard,result in that users must install multiple applications if they want to use different hardware vendors.The second question is that the price is high but customization is relatively low,and it is very hard to be extended.To solve those problems,this paper designed a smart home system based on Internet of things.The software part of the system was designed as a web application,and users can directly access and control household appliances through the browser without installing client software.The hardware part of the system we selected an ARM microcontroller as the target hardware platform which has the good performance and low price,and selected LPC2368 as the core controller.The main works were as followed:1.The design and implementation of client software for smart home system.The client software adopted the Browser/Server mode,and took Microsoft.NET Framework 4.0 as the development environment,Microsoft Visual Studio 2010 as the development instrument,Microsoft SQL Server 2008 as the database server.It was designed using HTML+CSS for user display interface,JS as the scripting language and C#as programming language.Hence they were to realize many functions such as remote communication,remote control,and automatic alarm query statistics.2.The design of the core controller.The main controller was based on LPC2368 micro controller,the remote communication was realized using the DM9161A Ethernet chip,and other modules were the relay drive module,power module,sensor module,digital input and output module.We analyzed and prepared for the main controller software program,including the transplantation of LwIP protocol stack in the case of no operating system and the formulation of the communication protocol.3.The research and realization of communication scheme.Using WebSocket technology to realize the communication mode "hardware-site-client",compared with the previous communication mode "hardware-web server-web client",the first model improves the real-time data transmission greatly.4.Finally,we made an operational testing for the smart home system,and the results showed that the system had high real-time,convenient for management and maintenance,and can be extended to smart supermarket,bank,hospital and other application scenarios.
