Design Of Smart Home System Based On Internet Of Things Technology

Smart home system is an important research field of IOT with wide perspective and promising development which has attracted extensive attention of the relevant firms of the industry chain. As a comprehensive and interactive application field, smart home system which integrates computer and communication technology with the building automation technology provides a broad application scenario for IOT.In this thesis, a design scheme for a management system based on B/S module raises to meet the user demands and application characteristics with the analysis of the development status and system construction of the smart home system. At the perception layer of IOT, a wireless sensor network based on ZigBee technology is designed to distribute control commands and collect the real-time information of the devices at home. A network gateway based on C#. NET technology is designed to establish the connection between the wireless sensor network and the database server. The database sever based on SQL Sever 2005 DBMS stores and processes all the information of devices and users. The gateway which access the database sever with ADO. NET technology establishes the communication between the perception layer and the network layer. A web site based on ASP. NET technology, which works on a web sever based on IIS system, is designed to access the information in the database sever with ADO. NET technology and implement the function of web browsing. As a result, the user can monitor and control the whole smart home system with a web browser of any devices connecting to the internet.Compared with classic smart home system, the new system has advantages in many perspectives. The new system has superiors of wireless, easy to use, easy to configure, easy to update and maintain the system, providing an advanced application solution to the smart home.
