With the large-scale deployment and development of PTN network,the continuous emergence of communication equipment manufacturers,PTN network for the increase in the number of devices and various types of equipment between the network becomes more frequent.At the same time,this also puts forward higher requirements for the survivability and compatibility of PTN networks.Among them,protection technology is the key to guarantee network survivability.It is one of important factors that communication equipment manufacturers must consider to realize protection switching between different devices.Based on G.8031 protocol,a new Ethernet linear protection scheme is proposed,which can not only provide Ethernet linear protection for PTN equipment,but also realize Ethernet protection compatibility with PTN equipment of other manufacturers by inheriting the advantages of the original Ethernet protection technology.This paper first introduces the development trend of communication at home and abroad,and puts forward the significance and purpose of this paper.Then,the realization of PTN technology is introduced.Based on the function of the linear protection technology,it supports different working modes and different fault detection.The protection function is diversified and the maneuverability is strong.G.8031 protocol message format which is analyzed in detail makes it possible to realize the PTN interconnection of different equipment manufacturers.According to the application of the linear protection network and the technical standard in the G.8031 protocol,through the improvement and optimization of the defects in the linear protection protocol,this new Ethernet protection scheme complements the switchover of different priorities and supports arbitrary switching between modes and other devices to achieve inter-device protection technology compatibility.The paper focuses on the design of software architecture for linear protection and the concrete realization of APS modules.Finally,according to China Mobile test standard,a test environment is established to verify that the protection switching between devices of different manufacturers meets the protection switching time standard of less than 50 ms.This proves the feasibility of the scheme.
