In recent years, industrial network has been evolved quickly. More and more ethernet switch is used in industrial control network. industrial network require high reliability and low transfer latency, So ring network is widely used in industrial network. There are many standards of ring network, such as RFC3619,IEC6249,ITU-G.8032,etc. These ring network solutions are very different from each other. The common problem of these solutions is the network protection switch will depend on the performance of master-node. With the scale increasing of the ring network, the protection switch latency will roughly increase and the reliability will be worse. In order to fit the industrial requirement,it is necessary to optimization and improvement of the existing ring network scheme.The primary works in this thesis are presented as follows:(1)According to the field of industrial network demand, researching and analysising the existing Ethernet ring network solutions, try to fix the problem of network reliability with the expansion of network scale drastically reduced. Analysis of the cause of the problem, make ideas from the city highway and ordinary road is compatible with the coexistence, put forward the overall design scheme of distributed loop networks.(2)Distributed ring network is realized by adopting multiple transmission channel and multiple node cooperative design.The hardware characteristics of the switching chip are fully used. Partitioning a plurality of virtual transmission channels on a physical link,each type of message is transmitted in a particular channel.The performance related packet is forwarded by ASIC, the management related packet is forwarded by CPU.This thesis has successfully implemented the distributed ring network scheme on the Ethernet switch.The solution has the advantages of high transmission speed, high transmission efficiency and high transmission efficiency.With the solution,Network deployment is easy and high redundancy. Support directly or relay link failure protection function between ring network nodes.The hardware characteristics of the switching chip are fully used. The solutions improve the reliability of the ring network and speed up the recovery rate of fault response.Ring network can be recovered in a few milliseconds. Although the scale of the ring network expansion,the recovery of the ring network remains stable.This thesis has applied for a patent for invention.
