Basing on a large multi-path fade channel, this thesis researches on a broadband microwave communication system so as to attain an virtual means to confront strong multi-path fading, furthermore, it must has excellences for instance small PAPR, low complication and has low expense.This paper recommends the theory of channel equalization and the transmission characters of multi-path communication channel. Studying these key techniques, including scrambling, channel coding, mapping, shaping, matching filter, frame synchronization, AGC, channel estimation, SNR estimation, FDE, de-mapping, descrambling.In this paper, a MODEM based on SC-FDE that can confront the multi-path-fading is advanced. Simulation based on MATLAB, printed circuit and arithmetic enforcement are achieved. Finally, we tested the threshold SNR in AWGN channel and BER performance in multi-path channel.The examination result shows two results. For one thing, the actual test result has a little difference to the MATLAB simulation and theoretical analysis. In the next place, the BER performance can effectively antagonize multi-path fading(not less than 10 ISI). Production based on the SC-FDE MODEM has been sold a small batch. It works stably and has superior performance, moreover, it earned high marks from the consumer.
