In the 21st century,with the rapid development of science and technology,the field of wireless communication is also changing.Many new technology and new products are available.Antenna as the transmitting or receiving terminal of wireless communication,it is also one of the key components of wireless products.The performance of antenna will directly affect the quality of wireless products.Moreover,the characteristics of prospected antenna include small size,light weight,high gain,wide band,high isolation and wide beamwidth.Wireless products also require antenna to take into account a variety of performance indicators,the traditional antenna design is increasingly difficult to achieve.In order to meet the practical needs,there are lots of research results about antenna loaded metamaterial.However,three-dimensional metamaterial is not optimum for special application or products because of its size and weight.In Contrast,meta-surface have a good performance,it includes low cost,light weight and low profile(single layer,two dimensional structures).In this thesis,meta-surface is applied for horn antenna and parabolic antenna.First of all,the reflective character of meta-surface cell is analyzed,it includes the reflection phase and the reflection coefficient;Secondly,horn antenna loaded meta-surface array is analyzed on the aperture;Finally,reflector antenna that parabolic reflector is replaced by meta-surface array is analyzed,the different cell of meta-surface array need to satisfy corresponding reflection phase.The specific contents as follow:1.The three meta-surface cells are designed and their reflection characters are studied.The three meta-surface cells have different dimension.The optimal size of meta-surface cell is acquired by studying its reflection character,then,the reflection phase corresponds to the certain size of cell structure.Therefore,In order to more convenient inquire the size of cell structure;the size and corresponding phase are filled in a form.The three meta-surface cells are designed to satisfy the requirement of 360 degrees reflection phase,approximately.Moreover,the reflection efficiency is above 91.6%.2.Horn antenna loaded meta-surface array is studied on the aperture.The meta-surface array is designed for improving aperture phase distribution based on the distribution regularity of aperture field.The gain of h plane horn antenna is increased from 7.5dB to 13.9dB when the size of loading meta-surface array is 12mm*216mm.The gain of pyramidal horn antenna is increased from 22.8dB to 24.9dB when the size of loading meta-surface array is 144mm*132mm.3.The meta-surface reflector antenna is designed and studied.In this chapter,the three different size of meta-surface array are designed and it is used to instead parabolic reflector.The U shape slotted patch antenna is designed,its gain is approximately 5.91dB when it worked on 10GHz,and its bandwidth is approximately 2.1GHz(S11<-10 dB),and it is regarded as a feed source.With the increase of meta-surface array size,the gain of reflector antenna is increased from 16.61dB to 19.55dB,13.65dB higher than the slotted patch antenna.The gain of reflector antenna can be further increased to 19.85dB when the equivalent phase center of slotted patch antenna is taken into account.The meta-surface array size is 248mm*248mm.the gain of reflector antenna is reduced from 18.30dB to 15.45dB because of the difference of reflection phase when frequency is increased from 10.75GHz to 11 GHz.
