With the rapid development of wireless communication technology,the traditional antenna,such as microstrip etc,has many shortcomings,such as high metal ohmic loss in high frequency and big physical size of the antenna in low frequency,so it could not meet current actual and urgent requirements that demand small size,broadband and low loss for antennas.In order to solve the technology bottleneck of the traditional antenna and meet growing antenna performance requirements,this paper has researched a new antenna,dielectric resonator antenna.Currently,dielectric resonator antenna must face the actual requirements that are complex electromagnetic environment,high bandwidth communication need and long distance transmission weakness etc,so the dielectric resonator antenna is progressing mainly towards circular polarization,high bandwidth,high gain.In this paper we analyze,research and design in the three aspects respectively.In this paper,main work as follows:1,The related theory of dielectric resonator antenna is analyzed,such as dielectric resonator antenna and circular polarized dielectric resonator antenna theory,classical feed mode as the principle of aperture coupled feeding,resonance frequency of medium block estimation,microstrip parameter estimation method,ceramic materials processing methods.2,A circular polarized rectangular dielectric resonator antenna that has a kind of special structure coupling slot is researched and processed.The test results show that-10 dB impedace bandwidth is 48 MHz,the frequency from 2.554 GHz to 2.623 GHz,the center frequency is 2.582 GHz,3dB axial ratio bandwidth is 25 MHz,the frequency from 2.574 GHz to 2.599 gGHz,the center frequency is 2.586 GHz,the gain is 4.3dBi.3,A broadband and high gain dielectric resonator antenna that has a kind of modified aperture coupled feeding is researched.The simulation results show that the bandwidth covers 3.6575 GHz to 4.9455 GHz,the bandwidth is 1.459 GHz,relative bandwidth is 34.2%,the highest gain reached 10.2 dBi.4,A high gain cube dielectric resonator antenna that has a kind of small parasitic metal strip is researched.The simulation results show that-10 d B impedace bandwidth is 534 MHz,the frequency from 2.058 GHz to 2.592 GHz,relative bandwidth is 21.8%,the gain reached 7.3 d Bi.The circular polarized rectangular dielectric resonator antenna,broadband and high gain dielectric resonator antenna,high gain dielectric resonator antenna are done in the paper,after testing and simulation,they all have reached very good performance and indicators.
