Since the middle of the last century when the first traveling wave tube was improved,the performance of traveling wave tube has been in constant development with the pursuit of high power,high frequency,greater bandwidth and smaller size and other characteristics.Its production and manufacturing process requirements are more and more stringent,but its production and assembly process management technology is relatively backward,in the process of pipeline assembly process,the development cycle is long,the process cumbersome,low yield,and thus must be better means to improve traveling wave tube production efficiency,improve the yield.However digital design is a critical component of the 3D model manufacturing process.Digital processing technology is widely used in a large number of complex structure of the model manufacturing process.digital assembly technology can greatly reduce the assembly cycle and improve design efficiency to a great extent,thus the designers can pay more attention to the digital modeling,assembly and motion simulation research.This paper will analyze the digital assembly process of the traveling wave tube with the assist of computer tehnology.Based on the graphical interface tool UG,take traveling wave tube as the research object,and design a reasonable digital assembly system combined with the electrical parameters,thermal and mechanical characteristics of the various components of the traveling wave tube,and the design of a simple user interface for traveling wave tube which can modify assembly track modification and interface the check of every component,which can play a substantial guiding role in the actual assembly process and greatly improved the assembly efficiency.UG/OPEN Menuscript and UG/OPEN UIStyler designed a simple human interface to analyze the assembly process,the use of UG provided by the development tools UG/OPEN API,UG/OPEN Menuscript and UG/OPEN UIStyler design tools for the development of UG,With the possible digital assembly scheme,the user can dynamically modify the assembly sequence trajectory,the assembly sequence,and the assembly of the different components of the control traveling wave tube.The MTSS software is used to analyze the error range of the traveling wave tube assembly process,the control of the assembly gap and then get a reasonable range of digital assembly,through the secondary development code to control the assembly constraints and assembly interference check to ensure the reliability of the assembly.
