Researches on the future fifth generation(5G)mobile communication system indicate that the most feasible solution in improving network capacity is cellular densification,that is,ultra-intensive deployment of small cells.Therefore,the concept of small-cell heterogeneous networks(HetNets)is proposed,which introduces small cell with low transmit power into conventional network topology.While small cell technology is effective in improving system coverage,throughput and overall network performance,the resulted inter-cell interference becomes more complicated because of the overlapped small-and macro-cell,due to which,the analysis and research of interference in heterogeneous network is very important.Because of limited radius of small cells,when a large number of small-cell base stations are deployed in a conventional macro cell,the distance between the base stations is very close,which causes more serious inter-cell interference compared with traditional macro cell network.In this thesis,the performance of the entire communication network deploying small cells in macro cells is studied firstly.Through the simulation of the signal to interference and noise ratio(SINR),the layout of small cell base station is analyzed and the performance of small cell technology is evaluated.Secondly,focusing on the HetNet with the coexistence of small-and macro-cells,the thesis analyzes the interference and evaluate the performance based on system level simulation.The results show that the deployment density,size,frequency resource,access mode,etc.of the small base stations exert impacts on the inter-cell interference.Further,through the analysis of the N strongest interference,the thesis achieves the interference modeling in small cell HetNet,which uses the N strongest interference to fit the total interference,derives the model parameters in the scenario of the first-,second-and third-strongest interference,determines the statistical characteristics of the interference power,and analyzes the fit degree to provide the interference analysis in the context of uncertain user location to improve the system performance.Providing the interference analysis and solution to coexisting cognitive small-cell and macro cell network,the thesis aims at providing guidance to the design of small-cell Hetnet.
