Research On The Non-literature Citation In Bioinformatics Articles

The change of information environment has made the demand for the scientific research far exceed the demand for the literature information resource,thus the traditional literature information resource cannot satisfy the need of scientific research.This year,researchers have been increasingly dependent on the non-literature resource,so it is strategic and significant to promote the protection and sharing of non-literature resources.The rapid development of science and technology in the world and the booming promotion of national information infrastructure,have provided the basis and technical supports for non-literature resources to be shared extensively,conveniently and rapidly.The precondition of the citation is the resource sharing,and the scientific data and software tools have been become the essential part in the scientific research.Carrying out research on the base of existing data is one of the basic modes of scientific research.Because software tools have numerous functions and the large number of users,no matter in people's daily life,work and academic research activities in the future,realizing the sharing of software tools has been the essential trend.As time goes on,the literature citation has been developed maturely,and the importance of citing the data and software has been recognized,however,the citation of data has been not fully valued yet from the beginning.Now the hardest challenge and problem that the quotation of data is facing is that the producers and users of the data lack the consciousness of sharing and citing the data,also lack a uniform citing standard.This paper focused on the scientific data and software tools,carrying out the research on bioinformatics science which was developing rapidly.Bioinformatics was a new subject combining computer science with life sciences,involving numerous citations of scientific data and software tools.According to this characteristic,through analyzing the literature of bioinformatics,this paper investigated and researched the citation of the data and software tools in the related literature,and confirmed the first fifteen types of periodicals who kept the largest number of published papers by using rigorous and scientific methods.At a later stage this paper labeled the scientific data and software tools in the fifteen types of periodicals,and analyzed the literature from the perspectives of periodicals,year of publication,citation frequency distribution and influences of periodicals,making the related conclusion and proposing some creative suggestions.
