Study On The Writing Thought Of THE JUVENILE STUDENT-(1930-1937)

"The Juvenile Student"magazine,founded in 1930,is a education publication for young students.It’s main publication editors:Xia Mianzun and Ye Shengtao have an important position in the education of the Republic of China and have a profound guiding role on Chinese education.The writing column of this magazine is prominent in features and rich in content.Some writing knowledge and theories in it gather a group of outstanding educators’ thoughts. These excellent composition teaching ideas and teaching methods are of great significance to the current composition teaching.Combined with the current Chinese curriculum standard requirements for writing,"The Juvenile Student" has already reflects its advanced nature in its writing theories.Its excellent writing ideas should be carried out in today’s education, especially its thoughts and ideas which are consistent with the current Chinese curriculum standard should be inherited.Nowadays, the writing in examination is highly exam-oriented for the current middle school students.Their composition is empty,out of the reality and devoid of substance.These problems are becoming severer and severer.and need to be corrected immediately."The Juvenile Student" not only teaches students the specific methods,but also pays more attention to the cultivation of students writing accomplishment and feelings in writing education.It is these writing ideas which are pursued by the magazine editors that make writing has a better development.This thesis is based on the writing thought of "The Juvenile Student" magazine.Firstly this thesis analyses the characteristics of the writing on "The Juvenile Student",and then it dialyses an internal jointly writing thought of these magazine editors in writing combined with journal writing columns.Finally, it elaborates the practical significance of "The Juvenile Student",according to the current Chinese curriculum standard of middle school students’ writing requirements.
