Nowadays, the scope of the application of computer is the year to expand the capacity of computer is increasing, the speed also increased year by year. With the development of the computer, the scale of software development is increasing rapidly, the scale of software system increases year by year, and the complexity is increasing day by day. Therefore, the reliability of the software is more and more concerned about the topic. In the past general personal design and personal use of the method, has been unable to meet the needs of everyone, we not only need to change the production of software, but also need to improve the productivity of software.At this time, software reuse as a way to solve this crisis, has been widely concerned. And it's cutting-edge technology and hot spots, which is based on component based software development technology, its research has an excellent application prospects. Compared with the method of software development and traditional software reuse, has five major advantages:reduce maintenance costs and improve productivity and reduce training costs, support rapid prototyping, improve interoperability, can save the time of manpower and material resources.This paper takes servo-control system of photo-electric theodolite as an example. Firstly, we research the conception, principle and process, arrangement, classification, significance and problems about software reuse. Next, we analysis definition, classification, characteristic,construction principle of component technology and study construction process of reusable component. We discuss the conception and development method of embedded system.Based on this, we explore method on software reuse of photo-electric theodolite servo-control system. We divide the system into 4 modules: system initialization module,working process control module, serial communication and data processing module and control parameter calculation module. We analysis function of each module and multiplexing method so that we can reference reuse process for other control system of photo-electric theodolite and save time, manpower and material resources.
