With the great progress of science,wireless communicationis developing veryquickly,and communication frequency bands are not enough,with separate useful and unuseful signal function,microwave filter becomes the important component in the communication system.Filter's performance is related to the quality ofthe whole communication system.Today all kinds of microwave filter are used in the different field,such as radio frequency,microwave communication,microwave airmanship,satellite communication and martial communication application.The demands of the filter performance require is very high.Developing with communication industry,microwave filter focus on higher frequency bands,smaller whole size,better performanceand lower cost direction.These aims became research hot point in the world.This paper design passband about 500 MHz range around 38 Ghz,the frequency space about 500 MHz,target achieve passband insertion loss<1.5dB,each rejection>65dB and farfrequency rejection>30dB,This design based on 38 GHz millimeter microwave rectangular waveguide filter design,two filters connect with the same input port by software optimizingand became a duplexer,for getting higher rejection performance between receive bands and transmit bands,use TE102 mode for cavity cross coupling,for getting better higher mode response frequency rejection performance,in seriesdesign a ridge waveguide filter as a low pass filter.Design and research bysoftware simulation and optimization for achieve the final high performance millimeter microwave duplexer,design sample tuning and test result is very close design and simulation plot target.High performance and better structure layout will lead to application and design has more competitive in themillimeter microwave communication field.In a word,this paper introduced communication filter application,it focus on cavity filter design and analysis,researched filter important spec and improve filter performance.Researched waveguide filter structure and achieve mechanical machining experience.Rectangular waveguide higher mode for cross coupling and ridge waveguide low pass filter achieved better performance.The work of this paper has very important realistic significance for millimeter microwavefilter design research and improving current millimeter microwavefilter performance.
