The Design And Implementation Of Travel Insurance Claims Work Flow System For Insurance Broker Company

In the past ten years, with the rapid development of the economy of our country and the great improvement of people's living standard, the willingness and awareness of tourism have been growing largely. The gradual increased number of tourists makes the tourism market grow rapidly, and new tourism forms comes out. The development of tourism not only plays an important role in promoting the development of national economy, but also promotes the cultural exchange. The development of the tourism market, however, various accidents which occur during the journey might bring legal disputes, personal safety risks, and so on. Therefore, buying travel insurance provides a secure and guarantee for both the tourists and travel agencies. However, the timeliness and effectiveness of the claims become the big barrier for insurance purchasing. With the development of information technology, using network platform and workflow mechanism can realize the information communication and processing efficiently and effectively among all parties distributed in different places, promote the automatic regulation of each link and the execution of claims processing. It provides guarantee for the efficient of the claim process.This topic comes from my work, i.e. the actual demands of insurance claim of insurance broker company. The existing system has some shortages on information transparency and operations. Thus it is urgent to develop a new workflow claim system with good business logics and convenient operations. In order to ensure the completion of insurance claims cases correctly and efficiently, the new system should make all parties can whenever and wherever learn the process of the case, and provides relevant materials timely. The main contents of this paper include:(1) Study and selection the development techniques. After studying some the mainstream technologies, current application development management systems and workflow engines, and analyzing and comparing the advantages and disadvantages of these techniques, we choose J2 EE as the main framework of system development,Hibernate as the data persistence framework and j BMP open source workflow engine as a development tool for workflow engine.(2) System requirements analysis. We analyze the claim processes of two major types of travel insurance, including travel agency liability insurance and travel accident insurance. Based on this, we analyze the required functions of the system, and analyze the functions from the system users in different position with UML use case diagram.The system boundary is determined.(3) System design and implementation. Firstly, we do the overall design of the system. The whole system is divided into user interface layer, access control layer, basic information management, workflow engine, persistence layer and database layer. And we gives the realization idea of each layer. Secondly, using j BPM graphical tools, we established the workflow model of travel liability insurance and travel intention, and create the framework of workflow engine. Finally, we design the database model and the relational database tables.(4) System test. We design test cases for each function of the system, and test the function of the system with these test cases. We also show some screenshots of the system implementation, and give details of the test cases and test results.
