Design And Implementation Of The Insurance Claim System Based On JBPM Workflow

In recent years, insurance industry is developing very fast. Premium income reached 2 trillion in 2014, with growth rate as high as 17.5%. However, traditional category insurances, such as public property insurance, company property insurance, liability insurance etc., have seen various degrees of decline in premium income. The original property claim system of our company was developed by C/S structure using C/C++, long troubled by problems like high maintenance cost, perpetuating business process and bad interactivity with the other systems. Urgent need exists to develop a new B/S structure new system with high distribution, high flexibility, long stability and convenient customization, to cope with business innovation and adapt to market changes.This thesis adopts open source workflow JBPM in insurance claims business system. The system uses MVC mode (model, view and controller), combined with the currently relatively popular B/S structure system developed by Spring framework and Hibernate framework. First of all, this thesis analyzes and interprets the technology used in J2EE platform, MVC pattern, Spring framework, Hibernate framework, DW frame, JBPM workflow engine system. Thereafter, demand analysis is carried out respectively in function structure and business process perspective. Business process demand can be divided into reporting, dispatching, survey and damage confirmation, filing, damage evaluation, advance payment, adjustment, compensation confirmation and settlement, while special business demand can be divided into simultaneous survey by multiple people, mutex advance payment and adjustment, coinsurance and reinsurance case process simplification etc., based on results of demand analysis, this thesis makes system overall design, in particular workflow framework module design targeting key business process. Workflow module is divided into three parts:1) Extended and encapsulated workflow process service engine on the basis of the open source workflow JBPM; 2) extended process definition file; 3) extended JBPM database tables. Through the integration of these three parts, the system can implement all business requirements.According to the company’s real situation, this thesis constructs system’s actual application environment, and demonstrate the function and performance effect of the system through old and new system effect comparison diagram, flow task list and stress test results. Finally, a summary of the project is made, the problems encountered in the actual operation of the system are analyzed, and improvement plan is put forward.
