In order to reduce the researching period of optical-electro imaging device, the turntable is applied to simulate the V/H of airplane for testing the optical-electro imaging device. Servo control of the turntable is selected to be researched in detail.Based on consulting lots of references at home and abroad, constructing the theory model of the turntable and the experiment model is carried out. By simulating and analyzing the effect of friction on the turntable and optimizing the data of identification experiment, the effect of friction is studied. From the frequency curves of the theory model and experiment model, it is known that the two models are similar near the cutting off frequency, and the difference will have litter effect on the design of controller.Designing of servo controller and the simulation via software are conducted based on frequency-model of the turntable. The design of controller of lead-lag and controller of reference model are introduced based on the analysis of stability and performance of the turntable. At last, the simulation result is given. The result shows that the two means of designing controller are both satisfied.By designing the hardware and software, the turntable can work well and a series of experiments are carried out to test the validity of means of controller design.
