Moving target tracking is a very active research topic in the technology of computer vision,having a wide range of applications in traffic flow control,aerospace,Automatic Drive,medical monitoring and other important safety guarantee,especially in the intelligent monitoring system,of which is very important.Now,the research of dynamic target tracking algorithm has become mature,therefore,making the algorithm come true in hardware is hot.Because it's complicated that the video image need process lots of information and high requirements on real-time processing,however,FPGA has the features of parallel processing and reconfigure ability,so it is very suitable for real-time image processing.First of all,dynamic target tracking system hardware platform has been built based on the target chip EP2C70F896C6 N and TRDB-D5 M CMOS camera and VGA display.The software design using Quartus II 13.0 for each module of the system,using Verilog HDL hardware description language programming,which simulate the I~2 C bus protocol to complete the FPGA's configuration on video decoder chip ADV7180.The image collected by the camera for the Bayer format,so the Bayer format need to be changed to RGB format.In this paper,the bilinear interpolation algorithm is used for color interpolation to complete the image format conversion.Through the design of each module of the system,using the logical analyzer Signal Tap II to functionally simulate it,finally put the modules together to complete the acquisition and display of video images.Then,according to the FPGA parallel processing capability and reconstruction,processing mathematical morphology by the background subtraction method for dynamic target detection through the theory of dynamic target detection algorithm and tracking algorithm analysis.using SAD template matching algorithm for dynamic target tracking,background difference algorithm and SAD template matching algorithm is simulated by matlab2014 b,and the simulation results are analyzed finally.Finally,the dynamic target detection algorithm and tracking algorithm module are added in the image acquisition system,and the dynamic target tracking system based on FPGA is realized.Experimental results show that the background subtraction method can detect complete image of the object and the dynamic contour become more clear through mathematical morphology open operation treatment,as well,SAD template matching tracking algorithm can also track the dynamic target in real time.The system can detect and track a single dynamic object in a static background.The system has the characteristics of high real-time and stability,and can be applied to the field of intelligent monitoring.
