The YHFT-DSP is a series of DSP with high performance designed by National University of Defense Technology. In order to better carry out the applications and promotion of YHFT-DSP, an efficient debug tool is needed. Based on the in-depth study of the first edition of YHFT-DSP FT-EMU560, this paper designed a new YHFT-DSP FT-EMU560 PLUS emulator with more stable performance, which reduces the debugging difficulty of YHFT-DSP.FT-EMU560 PLUS emulator is used to implement communication between the debug host and the target YHFT-DSP systems. This paper designed an Ethernet interface module to support the communication between the FT-EMU560 PLUS emulator and the debug host. Using the Ethernet interface can receive impressive download speeds, and implement data sharing and remote debugging as well. This paper uses W5300 chip for the hardware implementation of the Ethernet interface module, uses Socket Programming to complete the design process of the Ethernet interface communication program, and tests its efficiency by sending and receiving data through the Ethernet interface to prove that the module is able to achieve the functional requirements.This paper designs the TBC(test bus control) module to control the transmission of test data between JTAG FT-EMU560 PLUS emulator and target system. Using TBC module enables the debugging emulator support the debug for the target system with more than 8-core interconnected structure. This paper utilized FPGA logic as the hardware implementation. Based on the analysis of internal simulation/testing structure for YHFT-DSP, this paper implemented the design of TBC driver module by configurations for registers. Finally, by capturing and analyzing the input and output signals of TBC logic under normal operating mode, we have proven that this module can receive the functional requirements.To improve the stability and reliability of the FT-EMU560 PLUS emulator in harsh environments, this paper designed a JTAG interface driver circuit. The circuit is capable of improving the quality and driving capability of JTAG signals between the emulator and the target system.This paper put forward the general design scheme of FT-EMU560 PLUS and completed the design of the three innovation module and its driver programs. This paper has verified the module and system of FT-EMU560 PLUS, and experiment results have shown that each module of the design has right functions and the whole system runs correctly, so it completely achieves the design objective.
