Substation is an important part of power system, which is the link between transmission and distribution, so it is very important to detect the circuits and equipments for the substation. Now we use patrol robot to complete real-time monitoring and regular inspection of substation. The battery in the patrol robot is limited. It often has to charge. As patrol robot working environment is complex and unknown, the traditional charging method is easy to cause safety accidents. Furthermore, it is not conducive to the realization of the full autonomous patrol robot charging. In this paper, according to the above situation it proposes wireless power transmission. A wireless charging system is specially designed for patrol robot, which can be used for the construction of intelligent substation.Firstly, the paper discusses the status of autonomous robots charging technology and Inductively Coupled Power Transfer at home and abroad, to explain the purpose and significance of this study and research.Then analyzes the structure of the Inductively Coupled Power Transfer technology. It expounds the four methods of the resonance compensation technology. The design requirement of wireless charging for patrol robot is put forward, the circuit topology is selected according to the requirement of the robot. Focus on the problems of the migration and electromagnetic interference when the patrol robot is charging. This paper puts forward the solution of the system about the above problems.Finally, the system simulation model is established, and the simulation analysis of the system is carried out by Simulink. According to the special requirements of the patrol robot, the main circuit, over current protection circuit, no load protection circuit and over temperature protection circuit are designed. Then it is selecting devices, circuit design and PCB production. The experimental platform is set up to verify the transmission efficiency of the system and the function of the protection circuit, such as over current and no-load, to ensure the stability and efficient of the system.
