Special-purpose Language For MRO Supporting System Based Maintenance Strategy Description

Large scale equipment is always characteristic of complex structure and long life cycle. Thus single or even hybrid maintenance strategies, including posterior maintenance, planned maintenance and conditioned-repairmen are required. In some cases, the combining strategies are so complicated that it is very hard to be described logically with general programming languages. The MRO supporting system based maintenance strategy description just falls into such situation.Clearly, special-purpose language design for problem solving turns out to be necessary both in theoretical significance and in application value. We can list our work in this thesis as follows:1. By analyzing the characteristics of posterior maintenance, planned maintenance and conditioned-repairmen, we divide strategies description into three categories of basic elements: maintenance objects, decision conditions and maintenance plans, to propose our special-purpose language conceptual model consisting of basic elements and their logical combination.2. By analyzing the grammar rules of the special-purpose language for maintenance strategy description, we formulate both lexical and grammatical rules for the special-purpose language, design their analyzers respectively and further realize them on ANTLR platform.3. By analyzing the business needs shown in MRO supporting system, we design and develop two functional modules embedded in maintenance strategy management center on Open ERP platform by applying the special-purpose description language.Results from simulation indicate that our proposed language can be applied for maintenance strategies description in MRO supporting system. The specific language for maintenance strategy domain designed out could accurately describe the complex maintenance strategy, and overcome the characteristic that general programming language is not easy to master, which is easy to be accepted by maintenance personnel and enterprises. The application of specific languages for maintenance strategy domain in the MRO supporting system notonly can improve the efficiency of the maintenance work, but also can realize the maintenance strategy information sharing among businesses, which has reference significance for the repairing and maintenance work of enterprises.The design and development of a set of specific language for maintenance strategy domain has great application value for the maintenance work, and can promote the rapid development of the maintenance work.
