The Network Application Solutions For Micro-enterprise Based On Openwrt Smart Router

A variety of application services are necessary for entrepreneurial micro-enterprises to improve the efficiency and managdement level, but these companies are often faced with the dilemma of funding constraints, they can't arbitrarily purchase the necessary equipment and services. The paper focused on the routers indispensable for businesses, hoped for the intelligent transformation of router can provide a low-cost solution of integrated network application services platform for micro-enterprises.Firstly, the paper analyzed the advantages of Open WRT and explored the feasibility of the secondary development of Open WRT to achieve the intelligent transformation of router. Secondly, through in-depth analysis of the less-than-ten-person micro-enterprise application scenarios, combined with the practical application needs of micro-enterprises, the paper sorted out six common enterprise network application services, and so designed a targeted solution of intelligent transformation of router based on Open WRT. Finally, we chose a low-end home router and successfully implemented the intelligent transformation.Through comprehensive functional verification and performance testing, the functionality of the transformated system is comparable to traditional server, while the performance of it can meet the basic needs of micro-enterprise applications. After in-depth comparison with traditional server in all respects, the transformated smart router can reach or approach the level of a traditional server in scalability, compatibility, security, stability and maintenance management.Besides, the smart router has absolute advantage on the overall costs.
