Temperature had a great influence on DPL laser. The temperature instability makes light of the laser power decline, meanwhile it makes the output wavelength not to be a single one. In order to abate this effect, this paper designed a temperature control development and performance testing system for DPL.Based on the theory of solid heat transfer model, this paper established both electrical(physical) and mathematical models for the temperature system, and then gives an analysis about the influence which is coming from the heat sink, TEC, fan, etc. The article based on the theoretical analysis carries out a model simulation. The control algorithms are put forward which should be used in different conditions. The paper also expounds the system design of the hardware and the software, gives out the parameters which are used to evaluate the performance of the system. At the same time, the paper verifies the control algorithms after completing the system. The hardware of the system includes temperature sensor, TEC driver, PXI main controller, etc.A temperature control development and performance testing system for DPL is Designed. The performance indicators include: the system can work from-40? to 60?, the precision of the measurement is 0.1?, the control precision is 0.2?, the load capacity is higher than 40 W thermal power, and the long-term stability is less than 0.1?.
