Over the last few years, people hope that the laser dynamic tracking system meet the large aperture, high resolution, long range tracking and aiming at the same time, with high reflectivity, smaller size and lighter weight over their research, and meanwhile the system also needs to use high power laser. But these design requirements are difficult to be accomplished by the application of refractive optical system, while the reflective optical system has certain advantages in realizing these requirements. In this paper, the reflective optical system is firstly studied in detail. By referring to the relevant data, a variety of reflective optical systems are analyzed, and the advantages, the aberration theory and the initial structure of the three reflective optical systems are summarized. Secondly, the basic principle and characteristics of the reflective beam expander system are introduced, and the problems and solutions are analyzed. According to the design requirements of laser dynamic tracking and aiming, the off-axis reflective optical system and reflective beam expander system can be used for tracking and aiming. To meet the requirement of large aperture and long focal distance, high resolution, high laser energy utilization, again according to the use requirement analysis, the main parts of the two system are designed to be the common parts for optimization and meeting the miniaturization and lightweight design requirements. The tube length of the system is controlled within 1.5 m, which can adapt to larger than 10 kW strong laser irradiation.
