Computer technology has become a key technology in modern mould factory. Computer-aided design, computer-aided manufacturing and computer-aided measur ing have been widely used in many enterprises, and the main development directions of them are integration, networking, and intelligentization. CAD/CAM/CMM systems can exchange data through parameters of 3D model. So 3D parametric design is a key technique in CAD/CAM/CMM, the research of it is very important.In this thesis, the current application software functions, measuring devices, and operation process in the factory have been optimized. The tolerance information transfering method has been changed from “2D drawing or 3D part dimensioning” to “surface coloring on 3D model”. In order to develop the tolerance color management system of injection mold 3D parts, the main researches are as follows:Pro/E software operation and Pro/Toolkit development interface are researched. The functions are relized, including the model surface color data setting and retrieving in Pro/E. Surface construction method of model in Pro/E, U-VEEZ, coordinate transformation of points in three-dimensional space, and automated creating UDF features with Pro/Toolkit are studied. The tolerance color between two parts can be inherited, measuring points can be created automatically and data can be retrieved. Measuring path are optimized with C-W savings algorithm. The measuring points and measuring program can be creat ed automatically by the data based on the PC-DIMIS software. The measuring results can be retrieved and used to improve the process capability as the data support.On the basis of above research, the integration of CAD/CAM/CMM systems are implemented. It can provide total parametric support for shop floor manufacturing and CMM measuring. The systematic solution for tolerance color management of plastic injection mold parts is accomplished. |
