The Improvement Of One Mobile Augmented Reality Framework

Augmented Reality Technology has been known to the world for a long time and has gained new progress in modern industrialized process as time goes by, especially the application in smart phone. The research team in Ji’nan University has recently developed a Mobile Augmented Reality Framework, which is composed of the custom client, Brower and the server, among which the custom client and the Brower still exist some problems, which need to be revised and improved.This paper improves the Mobile Augmented Reality Framework. As to the custom client, this paper makes use of the Wed technology supported by B/S Framework and adopts My SQL database to store user information. In the meantime, it takes advantages of the Tomcat Server, making it the stored Web container of the Brower. As far as Brower is concerned, it replaces the past 4.2.1 version by Unity3D4.6.3 Development Tools, providing a base support for the extended function; it replaces the original version of the 2.8.9 by Vuforia SDK4.2.3,using the new script file to detect and track the markers; it amends the function module, making adjustment in operation procedure, adding ne w marking resources, new inter-face function and brings various interactive modes. And the result shows that the improved Mobile Augmented Reality Framework is no longer restricted by the operation system. It can customize the real-time content of Augmented Reality through the Internet, enhancing the development efficiency of applicants and increasing user groups. Besides, Brower can quickly respond to client requirements, reduce user operation and can more vividly display contents of Augmented Reality.
