Due to the rapid growth of the Internet information and data, cloud computing got fast development, the data center hosted cloud computing services as an important infrastructure construction which developed quickly as well. At the same time, which face 3 problems: virtual machine traffic access and control; Data center internal transverse traffic access and control; network storage and data network integration issues. In 2010, 40G/100 G Ethernet standard release solves the data transmission bottleneck within the data center, which involves a number of key technical breakthrough, bring a series of new challenges and problems such as router/switch processing capability, cabling system issue like cable density, transmission distance, heat, the transmission rate and so on. In order to solve the problem of the cabling system, this paper designs a QSFP+ AOC four-channel small pluggable active multimode fiber cable, it describes the working principle of the QSFP+ AOC, photoelectric core design, mechanical structure design, electrical design, Electrically Erasable Programmable Read-Only Memory(EEPROM) memory registers definition, the selection of transmission medium. And this paper describes how to validate the design and product reliability. At last, will summary a guideline of QSFP+ AOC mass production.
