In this diverse and complex economic environment, new technologies are changing theorientation of the enterprise business development and also proposing new demands onenterprise IT construction which is facing a huge crisis. By rapid development of cloudcomputing, cloud data center can effectively help companies solve the following existingthorny issues: low resource utilization, high energy consumption, poor flexibility andscalability, maintenance issues, hard to sense and correct problems. The cloud data centerwhich is gradually better recognized in the industry, will become the next generation of datacenter. Cloud data center domain is widely for research and exploration in academia andindustry. However, there is no unified mature solution so far.I proceeded from existing enterprise cloud computing technology and focused onresource virtualization and system flexibility, massive data management solution, multi-tenant,fault tolerance, load balancing and some other factors. I studied and designed a solution of acloud data center based on hierarchical data model, and implemented the data access module.The main work of this paper is as follows:First, it refers to common-used key technologies of cloud computing such asvirtualization and massive data management storage; then gives a structural and functionaldesign of a cloud-like data center. It provides an essential design of the massive data storageby considering concurrency, load balancing, efficiency and so on.Second, it is a bottom-up designed logical and physical data store which focuses on thenative support for multi-tenant data sharing and concurrent access to data. it also provides amethod of metadata-based storage, management and also index for massive data inaccordance with the characteristics of the hierarchical data.Third, it utilizes VMware virtualization products and builds a proto-type of cloud-likeinfrastructure.Forth, it implements the data access module, tests and corrects the bugs. Also uses realdata to access the module, then records the result data, analyzes and evaluates the system. Inthe end summarizes the whole work, points out the deficiencies of the system and gives afurther outlook.
