The Design And Implementation Of Group Management System Based On Openfire

With the rapid development of information technology, education model has got ultimate changes as well. With its unique advantages, online education is rapidly developing in the world. More and more people have got strong interest in it. Compared with traditional education, online education has achieved a kind of teaching way across time and space, which brings a lot of convenience to teachers and students. However, there are some disadvantages in online education, such as difficulties in forming a stable corresponding relationship between teachers and students. The focus of this research is to establish different corresponding relations between teachers and students at different schools.The research results of this project are as follows:(1) Detailed research on the framework of Openfire: On the aspects of its overall framework, working principles, communication protocol, extension mode l, et cetera.(2) Research the chat room module in detail and extend it: Mainly researc h the chat room related classes and the relationships between them, the process of registering components in the chat room, the process of creating a chat ro om, and the process of member joining in a chat room. At last, class manage ment and cooperative group management modules have been extended.(3) Adding the classroom management module and the business arrangeme nt module: based on the class management module, the SSH framework is use d to increase the classroom management modules and the business arrangement modules in the cloud platform of educational resources.Class management module and cooperative group management module are applied in the Openfire server; classroom management module and business arrangement module are applied in the cloud platform of educational resources server. But the above four modules share the same database and they constitute a complete group management system.The research results of this project is valuable to a certain extent. Cloud platform of education resources has begun trial in middle schools and primary schools in Shanxi, Shaanxi, Henan and other provinces, bringing a lot of convenience to teachers in lecture preparation and teaching, and it can help students with their learning as well. Group management system has built a bridge between teachers and students. Through the group management system, teachers can share the prepared learning resources with students timely.
