With the emergence and development of the Internet of Things, the information industry is becoming more and more developed. In the IoT, more and more people pay attention to the sensor network. Abstract things by digital and informationize make the communication between the people and things or things and things more convenient. With the increase of sensor types and communication methods, the problem on the Internet of Thigs between the gateway and sensor network becomes more and more important.This study designs an IoT gateway middleware which can process a variety of terminal equipment concurrence access, can shield heterogeneous communication protocol and heterogeneous application protocol. When the new communication network and sensor access to the middleware, it can effectively solve this problem. It can realize widely accessing communication network and extensive analyzing sensor data. The study investigates the background and application requirements of IoT gateway heterogeneous protocol in depth, analyses the existing research status at home and abroad. The study also sums up that IoT gateway needs to have a combination of a variety of heterogeneous network access perception ability and a variety of heterogeneous application protocol analytic ability. The study designs an IoT gateway heterogeneous protocol middleware framework. Terminal management system realizes shielding heterogeneous communication protocol. Data standardization processing system realizes shielding heterogeneous application protocol. Data storage system stores the data in the MySql database. The study also designs multi-protocol data simulator which can simulate a variety of communication protocol and a variety of application protocol. It provides conditions for the construction of IoT gateway heterogeneous protocol middleware framework. The study respectively from system test, system, system time delay test, test the performance of IoT gateway heterogeneous protocol middleware.Based on the traditional Internet gateway, the study presents an IoT gateway heterogeneous protocol middleware framework, to solve the problem of heterogeneous communication protocol and heterogeneous application communication. The terminal management system uses the method which combines Linux shared library with Linux thread pool, to realize dynamically load communication protocol access module, and decreases the time of creating thread, and reduces the CPU share. When the concurrency equipment is increasing, his middleware still can handle it. The standardization data processing system uses the method of generalized object factory combine with Linux shared library, to realize dynamically analysis heterogeneous applications. This method can reduce development costs. The performance test proves that the middleware framework can concurrently access a variety of heterogeneous communication protocol and heterogeneous application equipment. The average time delay of 6.136 ms, the average time delay is far less than the limit specified in CCSA standard(IPTD) 100 ms.
