In the 1990 s, the mode of reality show has been popular all over the world, which has drawn much attention. Bringing in overseas reality show and producing localized programs has become a common practice by the tv industry. In 2010, the Chinese talent show receive huge popularity, and in 2012, the voice of china cater for a large amount of audience in china. Successful examples promoted the competition in introducing of many foreign reality shows. In the year of 2013, reality shows like I’m a singer; and daddy, where are you going, which are introduced from south korea, received high audience rating and many lip services. Since then, the introduction of Korean reality show has become a favorite in the tv industry. Statistics show that the introducing of Korean mode reached 12 in 2013 and over 20 in 2014 and in 2015 all the Korean reality shows have been bought by Chinese tv industry. In a nutshell, the introduction of Korean reality show has spread all over the whole country.This paper is based on this new background, and study the crash of introducing the Korean mode in the China’s TV industry.The paper is divided into five parts. Firstly, it proposed the background of the thesis and the study achievement all over the world. Secondly, the paper explored the history of china’s introducing of Korean reality show. Thirdly, the study tried to discuss the reason why Korean mode is so popular from aspects like culture, the production of Chinese reality show and the production of Korean reality show. Fourthly, the paper concluded the success and failure in the Chinese localization of Korean mode by analyzing specific case. Lastly, I tried to offer inspiration and suggestions for the development of the Chinese reality shows. |
